Following the success of previous events, Shelton State Community College will once again hold special Admit Days for students preparing for fall 2022 enrollment. Students who attend one of the designated Admit Day events will be able to complete all parts of the admission process in a single session. Four randomly selected Admit Day participants will be awarded a $250 book scholarship.
Students interested in the College’s dual enrollment program are not eligible for admission through Admit Day events.
The College will host three Admit Day events on August 3, 6, and 9. The first session on Wednesday, August 3 will be from 9:00 a.m. until noon on the Fredd Campus. The second session of the day will be from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on the Martin Campus. Sessions on Saturday, August 6 and Tuesday, August 9 will be from 9:00 a.m. until noon on the Martin Campus.
Admit Day attendees will be able to apply for admission, apply for financial aid by completing a FAFSA, speak with an advisor, and register for classes. Prospective students are asked to bring high school/college transcripts, ACT/SAT scores (if applicable), and 2020 tax returns to determine financial aid options. Campus tours will also be available.
“We remain determined to remove any potential barriers for students who want to receive postsecondary education,” stated the College’s Director of Recruitment, TJ Smith. “Providing face-to-face interaction and personal assistance is one way we’ve found to put people at ease, and we look forward to seeing who walks in our doors!”
