HCSD reports four arrests over past week, including rape, controlled substance

Hale County Sheriff’s Department released the following report of the department’s activity over the previous week.

Arrests:

5-11-22

Courtney A. Paige, 42, of Newbern was arrested for receiving stolen property, second degree, bond revocation, and certain person forbidden.

Michael E. Hearing, 54, of Tuscaloosa, was arrested for incest, first-degree rape, and first-degree sodomy.

Montrell D. Ellis, 29, of Sawyerville was arrested for unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Rickey Carpenter, 68, of Tuscaloosa was arrested for failure to appear.

Third-degree theft of property was reported on Co. Rd. 28 near Greensboro.

Harassment was reported at Newbern City Hall near Newbern.
