Willie Lewis Brownlow of Greensboro died April 14 at the age of 67. He was born in Greensboro on Oct. 15, 1954. He graduated from Hale County Training School in 1974, after which he began his trade as a brake specialist with Demopolis Tire in Demopolis, where he worked for 30 years. He had a relationship with God and was an active deacon at Williams Chapel Baptist Church in Greensboro. He was kind, loving, and generous to all who knew him, and was a well known mechanic in the community. He is preceded in death by his father, Willie Lewis Brownlow, Sr., and mother, Lula B. Monroe. He leaves to cherish his memories a wife of 24 years, Lue Brownlow; three children, Lukeisha (David) Talton, Eric Brownlow, and Dondrea (John) Owens II; seven grandchildren, Gabrielle Jackson, Olivia Jackson, Chloe Black, Tamara Johnson, John “Ben” Owens III, Jade Owens, and Josiah Talton; two brothers, Kenneth (Bonita) Brownlow and Michael (Betty) Brownlow; two sisters, Linda (Isaac) Bell and Diane Winn; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services were held April 22 at the Brownlow Family Cemetery in Sawyerville with Washington and Paige Mortuary directing.
