Randall “Randy” Eugene
Lewis, of Moundville,
gained his heavenly wings
on April 15 at DCH Regional Medical Center after
a brief illness. He was 74.
Graveside services will
be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Moundville, on Saturday, April 23, at 2:00 p.m.
Visitation will be at 1:30
p.m. Feel free to bring a
chair and tell a “ Randy”
story, if you wish. Classmate and friend, Joe Chandler, will officiate.
Randy was the son of the
late, Eugene & Dorothy Elliott Lewis, of Moundville.
Born September 10, 1947,
he was a 1965 graduate
of Hale County High
School and attended Livingston University, then
barber school at Shelton
State. He was a barber in
Tuscaloosa and Moundville
for over 52 years. He is survived by his sister, Rita
Lewis Holifield, a niece,
Miranda Pierce, nephew, Ty
Holifield (Crestline, Ca.),
great nieces, Dani and Zoe,
great nephews, Sidney and
Bryant, many loving
cousins and friends and barber clients and special long
time friend, Michael
Whitis.
Honorary Pallbearers
will be: Joe Chandler and
HCHS classmates of 1965,
Phil Poole, Arthur Howington, all of his barber shop
clients, who he said were
family, Dr. Anne Lewis and
Dr. Leonard Jones.
