Read Across America Day

Coaches and players from the Greensboro High School Raiders made a special visit to Greensboro Elementary School on Dr. Seuss’ birthday, Read Across America Day, visiting classrooms and reading selected books to elementary students.

Literacy at the Newbern Library

Kids from throught the area celebrated literacy at the Newbern Library on Thursday, March 2, which is the birthday of beloved children’s author Theodore ‘Dr. Seuss’ Geisel. Seuss’ birthday is observed across the country as an occasion to promote the enjoyment of reading in the next generation.
