HALE COUNTY GOLDEN GIRLS
The Hale County Golden Girls dance team took second place in the Hip-Hop category at the National Dance Association’s National Championship over Valentine’s Day weekend. Held at Hilton Orlando, Florida, the event featured over three thousand high school dancers from 34 states.
SOUTHERN ACADEMY BASEBALL SEASON OPENER SHUTOUT
Southern Academy varsity Cougars started the season with a 14–0 shutout against Wilcox Academy. In four innings, Brayden Hennigan struck out 11 batters, allowing no hits or earned runs.
