On Wednesday, April 8, officers from the Greensboro Police Department, Demopolis Police, and the ATF assisted the Hale County Sheriff’s Office in the arrest of Harvell Johnson at his residence in the 5000 block of Highway 69 in Gallion.

A search warrant for the property was obtained after FAA drone footage was submitted to law enforcement showing Johnson allegedly confronting a drone pilot with a firearm near his residence.

Johnson is forbidden by law from possessing firearms due to three prior felony convictions in Pennsylvania and Alabama for possession with intent to distribute, retail theft, and persons forbidden.

During the search, officers recovered a .380 Ruger pistol and an AR-15 air rifle from the residence.
