Alabama Launchpad accepting applications for startup competition

Alabama Launchpad, the state’s longest-running business plan and pitch competition, is accepting applications for its Cycle 2 2026 competition. Entrepreneurs building companies in technology or life sciences are encouraged to apply.

The competition offers two industry-specific tracks, with winners in each eligible for prizes of up to $100,000. Each finalist receives $2,500 in upfront funding and 12 weeks of expert mentorship focused on refining business strategy and preparing for growth.

The priority application deadline is July 1, 2026, with a final deadline of August 13, 2026.

Established in 2006, Alabama Launchpad has invested more than $6.6 million in over 120 Alabama startups. Companies that have come through the program have generated more than 1,600 jobs and carry a combined valuation of more than $1 billion.
