Lovell Parker, 64, was the son of Ovetta and Amos Crooks Sr. He was born on September 24, 1961, in Greensboro, Alabama, where he attended Greensboro Public Schools and graduated from Greensboro High East Campus in 1982.
In 1986, Lovell moved to Michigan, where he met his future wife, Arlene Terry. He began his career in construction under the guidance of Stuart Michealson and John Sheatzley at Windmill Homes, where he worked for more than 30 years. Michealson and Sheatzley became his closest friends over the years.
Lovell and Arlene married in 1997 and went on to have seven beautiful children together. Lovell and Arlene were together for 38 years and married for 28. He passed away on January 21, 2026.
Lovell leaves behind his loving wife, Arlene Parker; and six wonderful children, Tiffany, Shanika, Isaiah, Moesha, Amos V and Paradise; godson, Alfroncy.
Lovell is remembered fondly by a host of grandchildren including Journi, Bri’onn, O’Ryan, Isaiah Jr., Jrue, Jacquayla, Joseph and Josiah; as well as two special grandchildren, Ivoareigh and Joy; along with one additional special great-grandchild, Jaiden; siblings, Loretta (Ronnie), Dolly (Willie), Mary (Rickey), Lue, Sandy and Michael; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Lovell has joined his deceased daughter, Voniqua Parker, in heaven, along with his mother, Ovetta; father, Amos Sr.; and brother, Amos Jr.
A celebration of life for Lovell Parker “Boo Boo” was held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2026, at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 583 New Hope Road, Sawyerville, Alabama 36776, with Pastor Marvin Wiggins officiating.
