Curtis “The Man” Dedrick, 65, of Sawyerville, Alabama, died January 30, 2026.
Graveside services were held Friday, February 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Dedrick Family Cemetery, County Road 77, Sawyerville, Alabama. Pastor Eugene Foster officiated.
He was born May 3, 1960 to Mary Kate Dedrick and Anderson Britton. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Springfield Baptist Church in Sawyerville, Alabama.
Curtis’ parents, Mary Kate Dedrick and Anderson Britton; late wife, Maggie Dedrick; and sister, Fannie Dedrick preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving wife, Jonikka Dedrick; four children, Crystal Chavers, Jason Williams, Olivia Sledge and Curtis Dedrick Jr.; four step-children, Shaleria Collins, Selena Foster, Shania Ward and Lafabian Ward; three grandchildren; eight brothers, Jessie Portis, Ellis Dedrick (Vanessa), Brandly Dedrick, Chester Burrell (Bennette), Laquinta Britton, Adam Britton of Sawyerville, Alabama, Terrence Britton of Moundville, Alabama, Lester Burrell (Schiquetta) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; an honorary sister, Norma Winn; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
