Alexis Jerome “Tate” Paige

Alexis Jerome “Tate” Paige died January 3 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham at the age of 58. He was born March 16, 1967, to parents who preceded him in death, James Paige and Flora C. Paige.
He confessed Christ and attended Greenleaf Missionary Baptist Church.
He studied at Alabama State University, Montgomery, Alabama, and Concordia College in Selma, Alabama. But his ultimate lifelong dream was to be a truck driver, which he fulfilled and lived out.
He leaves to cherish his memories one son, Jarvis Jerome Conner; seven siblings: Carolyn (Jimmy) Coleman, Cathy Agnew, Cedric (Mary) Paige, Towanna Jackson, Alvia Paige, Eric (Betrina) Paige, and Calandra (the Rev. Michael) Wiggins.
He is also survived by twelve nieces and nephews: Carnethio Barnes, Chandra Davis, Shelita Paige, Amanda and Alondria Agnew, Cedric “CJ” Paige, Jarvis Conner, Erica, Erin, and Eric “EJ” Paige, Michael “MJ” and Mariah Wiggins; eight great nieces and nephews: Jalen, Ethan, and Quentin Barnes; Henry and Luke Davis; Jorden, Catelynn, and Navey Agnew.
He also leaves one aunt, Sarah P. Mauldin; three uncles, Tom A. Paige, Theodore Hill, and Clarence Robinson; two godsons, Jastan and Joshua Conner; one god-grandson, Jalen Conner; and a host of cousins and friends.
Services were held at Greenleaf Missionary Baptist Church in Greensboro with Rev. Carlier H. Agnew officiating.
