A Greensboro man, Bruce Dustin Davis, 39, faces serious charges following a fatal traffic accident. Davis was arrested on October 2, 2024, after being indicted on charges of murder, two counts of first-degree assault, and driving under the influence of controlled substances, including bromazolam, methamphetamine, amphetamine, and marijuana.

According to court documents, Davis was driving a vehicle involved in a singlecar accident on September 25, 2024, that resulted in the death of one person and serious injuries to two others. Trooper testimony during the Aniah’s Law hearing detailed how Davis, who tested positive for these illegal substances, has a history of driving under the influence and poses a continued risk to public safety. The court agreed with this assessment, citing his past conduct with DUI offenses, and set his bond at $90,000.
