Alma Marie Allen died March 17 in Greensboro at the home of her daughter at the age of 92. She was born April 12, 1929 in Greensboro to Albert and Jenny Williams.
She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Union Grove Baptist Church in Greensboro, where she was a faithful member of the missionary board and the senior choir.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Jenny Williams; husband Jessie L. Allen, Sr; a daughter, Vera Allen Hambright; three sisters, Virginia Gator, Eula Ward, and Geneva Perry; two brothers-inlaw, Cleophus Lewis and Joseph Ward; one sister-in-law, Roxy Williams; one son-in-law, Lorenzo Hubbard, and a great-grandson.
Survivors include nine children.
Graveside services were held Sunday, March 26 at Union Grove with Pastor Lester O. Walker officiating and Washington and Paige Mortuary directing.
