Charles Abbott Thomas, 60, of Greensboro, passed away on October 25, 2023. He was born October 22, 1963. A Memorial Service was held in his honor on Monday, October 30, 2023, at 6:00pm at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, with the Rev. Albert Lyles officiating. Final arrangements have been entrusted to the care and concern of Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home and Crematory.
Charles was raised in Tuscaloosa and was a graduate of Central High School and Auburn University. He spent his working career with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, with over 25 years of service. He moved to Greensboro after marrying his wife, Carolyn.
He was preceded in death by his parents Fread M. Thomas and Charles W. Thomas. Charles is survived by his wife Carolyn O. Thomas, brothers Fred M. Thomas (Rita) and Joab L. Thomas (Debbie), and a host of extended family.
