Conrad Taylor went to his eternal home on the morning of July 10, 2022.
Conrad was born to Frances Swann and Milton C. Taylor on July 16, 1945, in Marion, Alabama. He graduated from Perry County High School in 1964, after which Conrad served in the United States Marine Corps, where he was honorably discharged on February 9, 1966. He graduated from Alabama Banking School in cooperation with the University of South Alabama on August 12, 1983. Conrad began his career at Marion Bank and Trust Company in 1974, where he served in many positions during his 46-year career. In 2020, F. Conrad Taylor retired as President and CEO of Marion Bank and Trust Company.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 44 years, Linda Hamm Taylor, brothers, Theodore Taylor, Jerry Taylor, and William Taylor, and sister, Kitty Taylor Coley. He is survived by his wife, Esta Callaham Taylor of Dauphin Island; children, Tracie Lynn Harrison (Nick) of Elmore, Conrad Wade Taylor (Allison) of Marion, and Brandon Swann Taylor (Jamie) of Greensboro; grandchildren, Hayden Harrison, Abbigayle Taylor, Coley Taylor, Whitfield Taylor, Zane Taylor, Leo Taylor, Elouise Taylor, and Archie Taylor; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Marion Presbyterian Church with burial to follow at Marion Cemetery with Pastors John Nicholson and David Tippens officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes, Marion Chapel directing.
Pallbearers were Hayden Harrison, Coley Taylor, Whitfield Taylor, Paul Taylor, Billy Taylor, Preston Nichols, Corin Harrison, Jr., Allen Horton, Donald Perkins, John Anderson, Jewell Duck, Cleveland Deason, and Donald Nichols. Honorary pallbearers were grandchildren Zane Taylor, Leo Taylor, Archie Taylor, Abbigayle Taylor, and Elouise Taylor.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to National Alliance on Mental Illness or a charity of choice.
