Clarence L. Harris, also known as Hooker, was born to Robert and Ella Harris on August 31, 1945, and departed this life on May 25, 2026, at the age of 80. He accepted Christ at an early age and joined St. John Baptist Church.

Clarence graduated from Hale County Training School. Later on, he enlisted in the Army in the Artillery Unit. He fought in the Vietnam War and was in the National Guard in the Bronx, New York. When Clarence moved back home, he worked for the Hale County Highway Department until his health started to decline.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father; four brothers, Ned Monroe, Samuel Monroe, Robert Harris, and Willie Harris; and two sisters, Ella Peterson and Hattie Adams.

He leaves to cherish his memories a daughter, Sharon (Kevin) King; one son, Tristan Harris; one stepdaughter, Conseula Harris; one grandson, K’Leum King; his friend, Delois Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives.

A graveside service was held on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Baptist Church, Greensboro, Alabama, with Rev. C.H. Agnew, church pastor, and Pastor Benjamin Cook officiating.
