Willie Ellis, 61, of Greensboro, Alabama, died January 27, 2026, at his home in Greensboro. He was born January 1, 1965, to Willie Green Sr. and the late Mary A. Gray.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories his six children, Kawonja (Nathaniel) Herrod, Jimmy Carr Sr. (Melissa) Carr, Willie Parker, Kimberly Carr, Kendall Carr and Gerald Carr; nine grandchildren, Javion Parker, Kayle’ Parker, Jimmy Carr Jr., Julia Carr, Jayden Carr, Khelsie Carr, Kendyn Parker, Kollin Parker and August Williams; his father, Willie Green Sr.; nine brothers, Simmie (Cenora) Gray, Franklin (Brenda) Coleman, Toni Green, Ryan Green, Willie Green Jr., James Paige, John Paige, Jasper (Amy) Green and Tori Green; five sisters, Marilyn Green, Gwendolyn (Tim) Hockley, Angela Corona, Beverly Paige and Yolonda Jordan; a special devoted friend, Loretta Carr; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Ellis were held Saturday, February 7, 2026, at St. Paul Baptist Church with Rev. Cazzie Roberts, pastor, and Rev. Roger Melton Sr. officiating.
