Sis. Linda G. Manley Poole was born to the proud parentage of Lillie B. Thomas and Edgar Manley on March 28, 1955, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Being reared in a Christian home, Linda accepted Christ at an early age and joined Weeping Mary Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Later, she joined Shiloh Church in Greensboro, Alabama, where she became a member of the Trustee Board and a faithful Stewardess.

She received her formal education in the Tuscaloosa City School System and was a 1973 graduate of Druid High School. During her time at Druid High School, she received various academic awards and honors. Linda proved she could handle stress, grief and other situations by showing compassion and empathy to others.

Linda continued her education at C. A. Fredd (presently Shelton State) in the field of nursing. She worked and retired from Bryce Hospital after twenty-one (21) years of service and was often recognized for her loyal dedication and commitment.

She was introduced to Hudson Poole, Jr., and she knew she had met the person with whom she would build a family. Linda and Hudson were united in holy matrimony on September 24, 1973, maintaining a loving and supportive marriage for 52 years.

Linda G. Poole peacefully transitioned at home, surrounded by family and loved ones, on Friday, January 16, 2026.

Linda Poole was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, several aunts and uncles, and her daughter, Courtney Regell Poole.

She leaves behind joyful, humorous and precious memories that will always be cherished by her loving and devoted husband, Hudson Poole, Jr. of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; her children: Ranthone D. Poole (Tasha), Laxandria T. Poole, Melinde K. Poole, all of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and Anitra K. Williams (Cedric) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

She is also survived by her grandchildren — granddaughters Jhae’lyn, Kennedy and Kameyn, and grandsons Kingsten and Marcus Jr.; her brother Roy Lee Jones (Cheryl) of Columbus, Ohio; sisters-in-law Etta Benson of Cleveland, Ohio, Odell Picott of Long Island, New York, Alma Smith (Glen) of Cleveland, Ohio, Linda High Smith of Cleveland, Ohio, and Joyce Poole of Cleveland, Ohio; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
