Ben Edgar Yeager, 88, of Eutaw, passed away on January 10, 2026, at home. Services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Union Christian Church in Union, Alabama, with Pastor Philip Lee and Pastor Ken Lee officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Visitation was held at the church one hour prior to the service.

Ben was preceded in death by his high school sweetheart and wife of 59 years, Dorothy Henderson Yeager; his parents, Edgar Williford Yeager and Julia Prisoc Yeager; and his daughter-in-law, Doris Jane Yeager.

Survivors include his wife, Edna Loraine Allen Yeager of Eutaw; daughter Denise Vaughan (Tim) of Cottondale; sons Mike Yeager and Gene Yeager (Belinda) of Akron; grandchildren Derek Yeager (Lauren) of Akron, Michelle Wilkerson (Henry) of Thomasville, Amanda Dore of Duncanville, Benjamin Vaughan of Cottondale, and Christopher Lott (Shannon) of Lebanon, Tennessee; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Ben was born on January 15, 1937, in Akron, Alabama. He graduated in 1955 from Akron High School and shortly thereafter married and began his family. He was a devoted member of Union Christian Church, where he was known as a steady source of wisdom and support.

He lived a life defined by hard work, doing things the right way, and taking care of family first. His guidance was always honest and given with love.

Pallbearers were Derek Yeager, Benjamin Vaughan, Tim Vaughan, Kip Clark, Jack Herndon, and Tommy Upchurch. Honorary pallbearers were members of Union Christian Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Union Christian Church Cemetery Fund, care of Merchants and Farmers Bank in Eutaw, Alabama.
