An Oxford man has been charged with public lewdness after authorities say he urinated on a Moundville police vehicle parked along Alabama Highway 69, with traffic passing by.

According to a complaint filed in Hale County District Court, Randal Marcus Deramus, 58, is accused of committing “a lewd act in a public place which he…knew was likely to be observed by others who would be affronted or alarmed” at approximately 5:20 p.m. on Dec. 30.

The complaint alleges that Deramus urinated on a Moundville Police Department vehicle while it was stopped on the roadside.

Deramus was arrested Jan. 5 by state authorities and booked into the Hale County Jail on one count of public lewdness, a Class C misdemeanor under Alabama law. Online court records show his bond was set at $1,000.
