Leon “Lee” Williams, 63, of Greensboro, Alabama, died Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Deversicare of Greensboro, Alabama. He was born April 20, 1962, in Greensboro, Alabama (Cedarville Community), to loving and caring parents, Fate and Mary F. Williams.

Leon, affectionately known as “Lee” or “Tweda,” was a very caring, loving and kindhearted Father, Brother, Uncle and friend. Leon attended Sunshine High School in Newbern, Alabama, and graduated with the Class of 1980. He was a member of the Sunshine High School Tigers Football Team.

Leon’s hobbies included watching his favorite westerns, hunting, fishing and taking care of his pet body guards, Bailey and Nova. He carried a smile that was like sunshine and will be remembered by all who knew him. His words to many as he greeted them were, “What’s Up Yo??”

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Greenleaf Missionary Baptist Church, 13854 Highway 25, Greensboro, Alabama 36744, with Reverend Calier Agnew, pastor, and Reverend Willie Smith officiating.

Leon was preceded in death by his parents, Fate and Mary F. Williams; and his brothers, Roosevelt and Willie Williams.

Memories of Leon will be forever cherished by his loving, caring and devoted daughters, Nyrisha and Torkeisha (Richard) Williams, and Tiffany Slay; his grandsons, Jayden Carr and Kaysen Slay; his brothers, Joe (Rosylin), Joseph and Climon (Carolyn); his sisters, Deloris, Mary C., Beatrice (Eddie) and Juanita; his special and devoted neighbor, Shalanda McCain; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
