The Greensboro Opera House will host the third annual “Celebration of Christmas” on Sunday, December 7, at 3:00. Once again, this celebration will feature performers from throughout the community.

Participating will be choirs from the Greensboro Baptist Church, the First Methodist Church, the First Presbyterial Church, and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. Marsha Harrow will be conducting, while Dianne Colburn will serve as pianist.

The program will include local soloist Karmen Mc-Crory and also the Colburn Family—Marty, Dianne, Dylan, Trent, and Kimberly—a traditional Southern gospel group. As additional attractions, “Elvis,” in the person of Dylan Colburn, will drop in for a special Christmas visit, and the Horseshoe Fellows will once again be on hand with their special musical Christmas skit. Musical selections will be both religious and secular, and the audience will be given an opportunity to participate in a “sing along” of Christmas favorites.

“A Celebration of Christmas” was received with such enthusiasm when it was held by the Greensboro Opera House for the first time 2023 that it is hoped it will become a memorable Christmas event, not just again this year, but annually. Admission will be free with a reception to follow.
