The Greensboro Recreational Center will be holding a drive-through food giveaway on Saturday, November 22. From 8 AM to 10 AM, community members can drive to the center’s location at 515 Greene Street and receive either a turkey or ham, as well as other food items to enjoy during the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday season. The event is first come, first serve.
Many community partners and organizations have put this event together for the citizens of Greensboro and the greater Hale County area. Individuals and partners include: Mykel Williams and Brian Robinson, both players for the National Football League (NFL); Herbert Jones, a player for the National Basketball Association (NBA); Greensboro Recreation Center; South’s Finest Meats; NPCDC, Inc.; Shoaling Hamilton; Rae’s Hope; and Zeta Phi Beta, Inc.
