At the quarterly meeting of the Tombigbee RC&D Council, grant funding was awarded for 13 grants across Hale County. This year’s grant awards totaled over $107,000.
RC&D Funding is made possible through the efforts of the Hale County Legislative Delegation, which consists of Sen. Bobby Singleton and Rep. Curtis Travis. RC&D grants are awarded in two funding categories: General and Education. Grants cycles occur each year, with the application window opening late Spring. Grants may be used for an expansive variety of projects and initiatives. Grants are generally not awarded to for-profit entities or individuals without an active non-profit status.
