Geraldine Hamilton was born on August 18, 1947, in Greensboro, Alabama, to George and Susie B. Hamilton. She passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at her home in Greensboro at the age of 78.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Susie B. Hamilton; her brother, Rev. George Hamilton Jr.; her sisters, Mattie Mae Hamilton and Roberta Reed; and one daughter, Shalaine Hamilton.
Mrs. Hamilton was a longtime member of the former St. Luke A.M.E. Zion Church and Greater Faith in Greensboro. She was remembered as a beautiful bright light to all who knew her.
She was united in marriage to Clyde Teacher Jr., and from this union she was blessed with a daughter, Shalong Hamilton.
She is survived by her daughter, Shalong Hamilton, and leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and inlaws.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Mary Church in Greensboro with Pastor Muriel R. Brown officiating. The pastor of the church is Rev. Joe Lee Hamilton Jr.
