Men’s health talk sponsored by UAB set for September 27 in Newbern

The Hale County UAB CHA Group will host a Men’s Health Talk focused on Prostate Cancer Awareness Month on Saturday, Sept. 27, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Newbern City Hall. Newbern Mayor Patrick Braxton is the featured speaker. The program will cover getting screened, what to expect, and health tips. Light refreshments will be served. The event is scheduled to be held at 1123 Main St. in Newbern.

One project involved creating centerpieces from gallon tin cans, which each participant decorated in their own style.
