Jamichael Edwards, 24, of Greensboro was arrested after deputies say he interfered with their investigation into a dog attack in Sawyerville on August 23.
According to court records, deputies were called to Sage Road after a man reported being attacked by two pit bulls while walking his Chihuahua. According to court records, the dogs knocked the man down and grabbed the Chihuahua, and he fought them off with a pocketknife before calling for help.
Deputies said Edwards came out of a nearby house, refused to identify himself, and tried to go back inside after being told not to. When stopped, he resisted before being detained. Deputies reported Edwards admitted the dogs were his and said they were vaccinated.
Edwards was booked into the Hale County Jail on one count of obstructing governmental operations. His bond was set at $500. Deputies documented minor injuries during the arrest and recorded the encounter on body camera.
