Geneva Brasfield Thomas, 71, of Greensboro, Alabama, died on August 4, 2025, at DCH Regional Medical Center. She was born on March 5, 1954, to the late Laura J. Brasfield and the late Reverend Isiah Brasfield.

She confessed Christ at an early age. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Vester Wilson; and two sisters, Dorothy Brasfield and Nettie L. Floyd.

She is survived by her husband, Matthew Thomas of New York; two sons, Marcus Small of Huntsville, Alabama, and Ronald Anderson II (Alexis Davis) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; three daughters, Latrisia Small of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Markita Small of Northport, Alabama, and Bessie Small of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; three brothers, Isiah Brasfield (Bertha) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Joseph Brasfield (Ethel) of Akron, Alabama, and Larry Brasfield (Towanna) of Terre Haute, Indiana; two sisters, Arthurine Palmer of Akron, Alabama, and Dora Miller (Jessee) of Sawyerville, Alabama; 19 grandchildren; 16 greatgrandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends; three special nephews, Kendall Brasfield, Scottie Brasfield, and Aaron Terry; and one special niece, Yolanda Halsell.

Public viewing was held Wednesday, August 13, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Agnew Funeral Home in Greensboro.

Funeral services were held Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Agnew Funeral Home, 1110 Baptist Hill Road, Greensboro, Alabama 36744, with Rev. Dr. Morris W. Bettis officiating. Burial followed at Mount Zion on Highway 60 Cemetery in Sawyerville, Alabama.
