OC Williams of Memphis, Tennessee, formerly of Greensboro, Alabama, died June 11, 2025, at the Harbor View Post Acute facility in Memphis. He was 76 years old.

Mr. Williams was born October 1, 1948, in Greensboro to the late Cleveland Williams, Sr. and Bessie Williams. He attended Hale County Training School. Soon after he moved to Memphis, Tennessee where he lived until God called him home.

Early in life, he confessed hope in Christ and joined the Rising Star Baptist Church in Greensboro. He later moved to Memphis, Tennessee, where he lived until his death. He was a faithful member of the Friendship Church of Nazarene in Memphis until his health declined.

He pursued a career in landscaping and enjoyed his work as well as visiting friends and family in Alabama and Tennessee. He especially loved time spent on Beale Street and fellowshipping with everyone he met.

He leaves to cherish his memories one loving and devoted daughter, Toney Cassandra Hamilton of Tuscaloosa, AL, one loving granddaughter, Zoshsha Sharell Hamilton of Lawton, OK, three loving sisters, Ruby Love (Eddie) Smith of Greensboro, AL, Helen (Lue David) Jackson of Detroit, MI, and Pearl Edward of Greensboro, AL; one devoted and loving brother, Henry (Lovenia) Williams of Fort Wayne, IN; a special nephew, Antonio (Ashley) Smith of Greensboro, AL; two special cousins, Bobbie Lomax of Greensboro, AL, Linda Faye of Atlanta, GA, Willie Ann.

He was once married to Glenda Hillie of Memphis, TN for many years. He also leaves to cherish his beautiful memories, his friends in Memphis, TN, Florice and Samuel Ballard, Marquita Collins, April Wade, Martha Holmes, Shelia Wade and Family, and Latoya Clay all of Memphis, TN. Very close friends, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends of Greensboro, AL and Memphis, TN.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, sister Betty Williams, brothers, Smiley, Richard, Jerry, Tommy, Johnny B., Jessie, Big Eddie and special friend Octavia.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Washington & Paige Mortuary, 17745 Highway 25 North in Greensboro, Alabama. Reverend Timothy Jeffries, pastor of Pleasant Hill Church in Moundville, officiated.
