Section 1. There is established a new voting center in Perry County to serve the voters of Districts 1, 2, 3, and 4. The new voting center shall be located at the former National Guard Armory building, 204 Martin Luther King Parkway, Marion, Alabama, 36756.
Section 2. This act shall become effective immediately.

Evaluation/Award: A contract shall be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond for one hundred (100%) of the bid amount and a Payment Bond for one hundred (100%) percent of the bid amount and must secure his bond from a bonding company’s representative or agent in the State of Alabama.
No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening bids has passed. The Owner reserves the right to hold the bids for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of receiving the Bids.
The Contractor is hereby advised that TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE on this project and that the contract time of 30 consecutive calendar days total and noted restrictions shall be strictly observed. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES WILL BE ASSESSED IF CONTRACT TIME IS EXCEEDED. The Contractor may apply for an extension of time in accordance with the provisions of the contract; however, such an extension must be approved prior to the contract completion date to avoid the imposition of liquidated damages.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in any bid, and to accept any bid considered advantageous to the Owner.

Smith Park Renovation, 16892 HWY 69, Greensboro, AL 36744
The historic Smith Park in Greensboro is undergoing a renovation. The project is a collaborative effort between the city of Greensboro and Auburn University’s Rural Studio. The project has a budget of $100,000 (including materials and labor) and is looking for a licensed and insured Contractor for construction. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at Smith Park on July 7th , 2025, at 8:00 AM for interested parties.
The proposed scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Re-grading of the existing site.
- Installation of new underground utilities (power, water, and sewer).
- New gravel parking lots (Approx. 136 cubic yards of gravel).
- New community spaces (Approx. 66 cubic yards of gravel).
- A new concrete basketball court on a new engineered soil base (Approx. 57 cubic yards of concrete, with appropriate engineered soil base)
- A 1/4-mile concrete walking trail (Approx. 110 cubic yards of concrete with appropriate engineered soil base).
- The planting of approx. 80 new trees and 60 new shrubs. Bid drawings will be available at Greensboro City Hall during regular business hours after the pre-bid meeting on July 7th
- Drawings may be checked out for a $25.00 deposit.
