HCSD reports arrests for reckless endangerment, capital murder, truancy

Hale County Sheriff’s Department released the following report of the department’s recent activities:

Arrests:

May 20, 2025
Simmie M. Easterling Jr., 34, was arrested for child support.

May 21, 2025
Derrian Dixon, 38, of Sweet Water, was arrested for failure to appear.
Christnay Grandberry, 31, of Moundville, was arrested for truancy.
Chardarius Leon Moore, 21, of Demopolis, was arrested for four counts of reckless endangerment, discharge of a firearm into an occupied building or vehicle, discharge of a firearm into an unoccupied building or vehicle, capital murder (fired) and capital murder (dwelling).
Cecelia Cooper, 55, of Greensboro, was arrested for failure to appear.
Ben Allen Harris, 44, of Eutaw, was arrested for probation revocation.

Cordell Brown, 36, of Tuscaloosa, was arrested for three counts of failure to appear.

May 25, 2025
Carlos Blevins, 46, of Uniontown, was arrested for failure to appear.
Jajaheem Javantia Davis, 23, of Greensboro, was arrested for fourth-degree theft of property.

Dogs roaming were reported on Alabama Highway 69 near Gallion.

May 21, 2025
Harassment was reported on Gewin Street near Akron.

A child custody issue was reported on Massey Loop Road near Moundville.

May 23, 2025
Harassment was reported on County Road 28 near Greensboro.

May 25, 2025
Menacing was reported on County Road 31 near Moundville.
