Camden teen, Gallion woman die in two-vehicle crash outside Demopolis

A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 7:05 p.m. Friday, May 2, has claimed the life of a Camden juvenile. The 18- year-old was fatally injured when the 2016 Nissan Altima the teen was a passenger in, struck the 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Heather R. Hill, 37, of Gallion. The teen was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash, was ejected and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Nissan, Alecia M. Jackson, 21, of Thomasville, was injured and transported to Whitfield Regional Hospital in Demopolis for medical treatment.

The crash occurred on U.S. 43 near the 127 mile marker, approximately seven miles south of Demopolis, in Marengo County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
