The Greensboro High School Fourth Annual Baccalaureate Service Celebration will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at 3:00 PM at the Hale County College and Career Academy located at 19875 AL-69, Greensboro, AL 36744. Baccalaureate is a Christianity-based interdenominational celebration in honor of all high school graduates.
This year’s featured speaker will be Mrs. Tara Williams. She is an experienced educator with a passion for early childhood education. She was born and raised in Greensboro, Alabama and graduated from Greensboro High School in 2008. Her journey in education began with a strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives of young children, which propelled her to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of West Alabama. She further honed her expertise by obtaining both a Master’s degree and an Educational Specialist (Ed.S) degree in the same field.
With over eight years of experience in the classroom, she has had the privilege of teaching students from preschool through first grade. Her dedication to nurturing the minds and spirits of her young learners has been both fulfilling and rewarding. Throughout her career, she has been honored to receive several accolades, including the Teacher of the Year award for the 2022-2023 school year and again for the 2024-2025 school year. Additionally, she was recognized with the Nick’s Kids Teacher Excellence Award in 2024, which humbles her and motivates her to continue striving for excellence in her teaching practices.
Outside of her professional life, she is a proud wife and mother to three wonderful children. Her family is her greatest joy, and she cherishes the time they spend together. They also share their home with three beloved poodles, who bring an abundance of love and laughter to their lives. When she is not in the classroom, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and indulging in a bit of shopping.
As an educator, her mission is to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment where every child feels valued and inspired to reach their full potential. She is committed to fostering a love of learning in her students and partnering with their families to ensure success both in and out of the classroom. She looks forward to what the future holds and is excited to continue her journey in education.
During this celebration, graduates will receive a personalized Bible. The culminating event will feature an open seating, buffet- style Baccalaureate Reception. All graduates, their family members, and friends are cordially invited to attend this community sponsored event free of charge.
“We are excited to share this event with you,” said organizers.
