Marion Military Institute will be hosting its annual Alumni Weekend this Friday and Saturday. Former cadets are invited to register for weekend passes through the school’s website. Some of the activities scheduled for Friday include golf, tours of the Flying Tigers flight program at Vaden Field and the Alabama Military Hall of Honor, and a Welcome Back Celebration on the quad. Honored Guests will receive recognition during the nighttime ceremonies. On Saturday, Alumni will be allowed to enter their old rooms from ten to eleven a.m. There will be a Swamp Fox demonstration afterwards. The Corps of Cadets will conduct a musical presentation prior to a remembrance for departed Alumni. Meals will be served at the QM throughout the weekend. The afternoon activities will feature a parade and pass in review as well as a performance by the White Knights. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the White Knights at MMI and there will be a Knight Reunion Dinner Saturday night from 6:30 until 9:00.
