Colonel (Ret.) Gayle Woelflin Fix died February 16, 2025 in Richmond, Virginia. Born in Marion, Alabama in 1942, Gayle graduated from Judson College with a Liberal Arts degree, and later enjoyed a long career as an officer in the United States Army, serving in Germany, Hawaii, and the Pentagon. Survivors include daughter, the Rev. Dr. Beth Love Tu’uta (Sione), grandchildren Poni and Heleni Tu’uta, sister Kerthy Hearn, Brother Fred Fix, cousins, nieces and nephews. Family and family history were extremely important to Gayle, and one of the many things she has passed down to Beth, Poni, and Heleni. Her passion for animal conservation (unless they were squirrels scaring off her birds), exercising at the local YMCA, going to the beach, and world travel are also parts of her that will live on in those she knew and loved. A Service of Remembrance and Burial will be held at Arlington National Cemetary at a later date.
