Greensboro City Council voted unanimously Tuesday night to approve a retail liquor license application sought by the owners of M&M Mustang, Inc. A public hearing was held before the regular council meeting in which there were no objections to the application.
The city will now inform the Alabama ABC board of the council’s approval, and Mustang’s owners will pay the appropriate fees to the board for the license.
The council heard a proposal from Move Alabama, a statewide campaign emphasizing the importance of regular exercise for all civilians of the state. A local event is being planned for Greensboro as part of the initiative. The council voted to approve the temporary blocking of traffic on Whelan Street from Main Street to South Street on March 29 from 12-1 PM for an informal gathering open to all who would like to learn more about the Move Alabama program.
