Pedestrian, age 16, dies after being hit by car on Hwy. 82 east of Tuscaloosa Sunday

A single-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian that occurred at approximately 10:55 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, has claimed the life of a Northport juvenile. The pedestrian, a 16-year-old, was critically injured when the juvenile was struck by the 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 driven by Evan W. Dunn, 20, of Centreville. The teen was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment then later succumbed to injuries and was pronounced deceased on Wednesday, Oct 16.

The crash occurred on U.S. 82, approximately four miles east of Tuscaloosa, in Tuscaloosa County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
