Absentee deadlines approaching, ballots due by next week

The deadline to register to vote for the upcoming November 5, 2024, General Election in Hale County has passed as of October 21. However, key deadlines for absentee voting are still approaching next week.

Voters planning to submit absentee applications by mail have until October 29, 2024, to return their forms to the Absentee Election Manager. For those choosing to return absentee applications in person, the deadline is October 31, 2024. Only the voter may submit their application in person.

Absentee ballots must be returned by the close of business on November 4, 2024, if delivered in person to the Absentee Election Manager.

If mailing the ballot, it must be received no later than Noon on Election Day, November 5, 2024.

Absentee applications can be picked up at the Absentee Election Manager’s office at the Hale County Courthouse, located at 1001 Main St, Suite 13, in Greensboro, or accessed online at the Alabama Secretary of State’s website.
