Jule R. Jones Perrin passed away peacefully on July 22, 2024 at the age of 82. Her life was a testament to unwavering love, generosity, and a deep devotion to her community and family.

She was born April 30, 1942. She graduated from Perry County High School in 1961. It was evident early on that Jule possessed a special gift for nurturing young minds. As a teacher she touched countless lives with her caring nature and genuine passion for guiding children along their educational paths at Dallas County Headstart, where she followed her students for years and enjoyed seeing the people they became.

Jule was known for her culinary skills. She could turn any occasion into a feast, ensuring that no one ever left her table hungry. Her holiday meals were legendary, bringing family and friends together in joyous celebration. Jule’s generous spirit extended beyond the kitchen as she selflessly cared for those around her.

In her leisure time, Jule found joy in socializing with others. Whether visiting with friends or supporting loved ones in times of need, she always showed up with a comforting presence. Her faith in the Lord Our God was unshakeable, providing her strength and solace throughout her life. Jule found comfort and inspiration in studying scripture and sharing her beliefs with those around her.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, William Russell (Janice) Jones and Richard Howard Jones and half-sister, Lillian Jones Kane.

She is survived by her son, John M. (Angela) Putman; grandchildren, Ashley Putman, Chelsea Putman; sister-in-law, Lucy Jones; nieces and nephews, Scott (Sonya) Jones, Samantha Jones, Brian (Anna) Jones, Dennis Jones and Bill Jones; great-nieces and nephews, Joey Rayfield, Dakota Rayfield and Taylor Jones and her sweetheart, Sonny Stoudenmire and his children and grandchildren, who she treated as her own.

Graveside services were held Sunday, July 28, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Valley Creek Presbyterian Cemetery with Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home of Selma directing. The family received friends at the funeral home beginning at 1:00, prior to the service.
