Two cited recently for boating violations in Hale

Two individuals were recently cited in Hale County for violations of Alabama state boating safety laws.

Wesley Lamar Hall, 20, of Greensboro, was cited on May 11 for operating a vessel on the Black Warrior River with insufficient personal flotation devices (PFDs) on board. According to court records, Hall’s boat was carrying four persons but had only three PFDs available. The citation was issued by ALEA Officer Jeromy C. Johnson, and Hall is scheduled to appear in court on July 10, 2024.

In a separate incident on May 26, Hayden Seth Campbell, 21, of Livingston, was cited for operating a vessel over its carrying capacity near Clear Creek and Jennings Ferry. Campbell’s boat had seven persons on board, exceeding the capacity indicated on the vessel’s plate. Officer Johnson also issued this citation, and Campbell is likewise scheduled for a court appearance on July 10, 2024.
