Odis L. Jemison, age 83, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. Born on May 5, 1940, he was a cherished member of his community and beloved by many. The management and staff of Agnew Funeral Home extend their deepest sympathy for his passing.
Preceded in death by his son, Odis L. Jemison Jr., Mr. Jemison is survived by his devoted wife, Bernadette Jemison; his sons, Raymond and Rufus (Sharon); his daughters, Monica (Victor), Lashawnta (Howard), and Erica; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-three greatgrandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; his sister, Avor Jemison; his brothers, Larry (Ora) and Melvin (Claudia) Jemison; his cousins, Hertis Lewis (Shirley) and Chester Lewis (Monique); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will hold his memory dear.
A visitation for Mr. Jemison was held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Agnew Funeral Home Chapel, located at 1110 Baptist Hill, Greensboro, AL, 36744.
The graveside service is set to be held today, Thursday, January 4, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Jemison Family Cemetery, 564 Guinea Road, Sawyerville, AL, with Rev. Frank Lyles serving as the officiant.
