James Hudson died on October 14, 2023, at the age of 76. He was born on November 8, 1947, to the late Lucy Hudson Burrell and Jim Hines.
Bro. Hudson had confessed his hope in Christ at an early age. He had attended Sunshine High School. After he retired, he had enjoyed picking up cans, which led to him being affectionately known as the “Can Man” by many. His friends and family also lovingly referred to him as “Little Bud.”
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Fred Hill, and his son Greg Hogan. He left behind a legacy that included 7 grandchildren and 2 greatgrandchildren. He was also survived by 3 brothers: Willie (Liz) Burrell, John Hudson, and Earnest Garrett; as well as 3 sisters: Brenda Hudson, Vera Cotton, and Vanessa Faye Flanigan. In addition, he left behind a host of other cherished relatives and friends.
A funeral service to honor his life was held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at the Washington & Paige Mortuary located at 17745 Hwy 25 North, Greensboro, Alabama 36744. The service was officiated by Rev. Antonio Shelton. The arrangements for the funeral were entrusted to Washington & Paige Mortuary.
