Officers of the Black Belt Small Farmers Ruminant Improvement Association accept a check from Rural South Institute to conduct outreach education. The association, a 501 3 C organization, was awarded a grant in the amount of $10,000 from the Rural South Institute to conduct “Outreach Educational Programming” in Hale County which will include youth education, farm demonstrations, and educational farm tours. This opportunity will lead to an increase in education and knowledge among small and underserved farmers.
