Woods Promise Inc. has announced the recipients of its $500 scholarship, affirming the organization’s commitment to supporting hardworking students in their educational journeys. JaMarion Tinker, India Ingram, Casey Black, Tedesia McGuffie, and Ja’ Mirea D. Player are the students awarded this year’s scholarships.
Charles Woods, representative of Woods Promise Inc., stated, “This scholarship is a testament to the hard work and dedication of these students. Their commitment to education and future ambitions is commendable.”
In addition to the scholarship winners, Woods Promise Inc. has also recognized the victors of its 3rd Annual Woods Promise Essay Contest. The winners, whose essays demonstrated a deep understanding of education’s importance and the power of determination, include Kingston Dates, JaLiyah Long, Na’Asia McMillian, Ja’Riah King, Martelli Butler Jr., Jahiem Wilcher, JaCoby Gater, and JaZahria Long.

Woods was recently invited to address the 5thgrade graduation ceremony at Greensboro Elementary School. He commended the graduates for their enthusiasm and eagerness to learn, expressing optimism for their future endeavors.
“I was honored to share wisdom and encouragement with the graduates as they embark on their next journey. I was impressed by the students’ enthusiasm and eagerness to learn, and I have no doubt they will do great things in their future endeavors,” Woods said. He concluded by thanking Greensboro Elementary School for the opportunity to address the promising young scholars.
