The Greensboro Garden Club recently appointed Nikki McGillivray of Eutaw as its new President. Among the first assignments for McGillivray, was hosting a dedication ceremony in honor of former Hale County Librarian Carolyn Hemstreet.
The Hale County Library’s Courtyard has been designated as Carolyn’s Court, with a plaque being presented to Carolyn Hemstreet during the ceremony. Maintained by the Greensboro Garden Club and Friends of the Hale County Library, the courtyard is an attractive addition to the library’s façade. Following the ceremony, a sheet cake decorated with piped roses was served along with refreshments to guests.
