Julia Ware Marsh, 95 of Greensboro, passed away March 30, 2023 at Hospice of West Alabama. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery in Greensboro, Alabama with Magnolia Chapel South directing.
She is preceded in death by her husband, E.S. “Doone” Marsh,Jr.; son, Robert Tate Marsh; grandson, Christopher Marsh; and sister and brother in law, Maxine W. Cooke(Bud).
She is survived by her daughter, Gena Marsh Baltezgar( Charlie) of Jacksonville, Florida; son, Mike Marsh of Demopolis, Alabama; four grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Julia was born in Birmingham, Alabama in 1927. She graduated from Woodlawn High School in Birmingham, Alabama. She had several friends and relatives in the Mt. Hermon community and that is where she met “Doone”. They married in 1946 and moved to Greensboro in 1948. She worked at Whittlsey’s Department Store and May Drug.
She will be missed by all that knew her.
