EPIPHANY, a hypertension prevention program sponsored by UAB, will hold an event in Newbern this month. The program is aimed at African-American adults ages 19 and up to learn healthy habits. Program coordinators say they want to give people the tools they need to keep from developing high blood pressure.
On Saturday, March 25, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Epiphany will sponsor a health fair at the First Baptist Church of Newbern. There will be a number of vendors at the event. EPIPHANY will be taking general blood pressure screenings as well as screening individuals for participation in the program. Everyone is welcome.
