Mary Everlou Tubbs Aiken, 83 of Faunsdale, AL went to her eternal home on February 20, 2023. She was born on March 10, 1939 in Perry County AL to Alvin W. Tubbs and Ione Tucker Tubbs. She was a retired U.S. Postal worker.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 46 years, John Gibson Aiken; her sister, Sadie Tubbs Tate; and her brother, Carson Tubbs. She is survived by her son, John William Aiken (Telena) of Faunsdale; and her daughter, Peggy Aiken Broome of Fultondale, AL. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Samantha Carlisle (Jake) of Mount Olive, AL, Sutton Aiken Davis (Walker) of Kingsport, TN, and William Seth Aiken of Birmingham, AL; and two great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Brooke Carlisle and Robert Willard “Will” Carlisle both of Mount Olive.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 2:00 pm at St. Michael’s Episcopal Cemetery in Faunsdale with the Rev. George McGee officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes, Demopolis Chapel directing.
Pallbearers were: Seth Aiken, Jake Carslile, Walker Davis, Hunter Colyar, Peyton Pearson, and Robert McKee.
