On Wednesday, November 12, 2025, Special Agents assigned to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) launched a homicide investigation at the request of the Perry County Sheriff’s Office. Jeffery Holifield, 68, of Marion, was found deceased in the 2000 block of Onrow Tubbs Road in Marion, located within Perry County, Alabama. A two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 80 near Faunsdale shut down the westbound lanes Tuesday night and sent emergency crews to the scene, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. Sgt.
