Meg Ford, violinist, and Marsha Harrow, pianist, will perform a program of classical music on Sunday, October 9th at 3:00 pm at the Greensboro Opera House.
The performance will provide the first occasion to hear the baby grand piano which was recently purchased by the Opera House and which will be dedicated at a reception following the performance.
Admission will be free, and the public is invited to come and enjoy and afternoon of music and refreshment at this, the first of a series of events planned for the Opera House in the coming months.
Meg Ford pursues a career in environmental conservation, outreach, and community. Presently she is the Coordinator for “wild Alabama,” serving the Talladega National Forest and advocating for wilderness areas of Alabama. She is no stranger to Greensboro for she served from 2020 to 2022 as Alabama Audubon’s Black Belt Coordinator in Greensboro. She is, however, also a talented and dedicated violinist trained in classical violin.
Marsha Harrow has lived in Greensboro ever since her marriage and during that time has generously shared her musical talents with the community—offering piano lessons, teaching music in the school, serving as pianist and choir director at both the the Greensboro Presbyterian Church and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, and performing at countless events. In recent years she served as accompanist for the Judson College Department of Music.
